Chinese Program

Mt. Ararat’s Chinese Language and Culture program is beginning its fourth year.  With financial support from the Hanban Institute, Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation, and the College Board, Mt. Ararat has been able to offer courses for grades 8-12.   Currently there are approximately sixty students enrolled in the program.  Several students, including Dan Van Note, Adelle Farrar, and Pan Nwe have completed a six-week summer study program in China.  Mt. Ararat begins its fourth year of Chinese programming with a new teacher, Xing Yang of Beijing.  We are very pleased to have this program to support our students’ understanding of America’s relationship with China and its importance in global political, cultural, and economic matters.

Students, Pan Nwe, Adelle Farrar, Sarah Sandlin, Mrs. So and Xin Yang at the China Town Restaurant.
